Coin Farming Basics[edit | edit source]
Coins are dropped on the Enemies kill. Depending on the type of the enemy they will drop different number of coins. Basic enemies do not drop coins by default. All Coin drops are affected by all your Coin multipliers that will help you to farm more coins.
Usually going to the higher waves rewards more Coins per minute, since more enemies spawn there and there are more special and Elite enemies, that drop more coins.
Another easy way to increase Coins per Minute is increasing the game speed. Even though it doesn't directly affect the coins per kill, it allows more coins per minute, which makes you earn more coins per day in the end.
There are various ways to get the coins multipliers up. Here are some of the ways that improve Coins gains:
- Playing on a higher Tier (will give coin multiplier per Tier. Higher Tiers add less to the multiplier)
- Workshop upgrades and Labs:
- Upgrading Coins / Kill
- Upgrading Coins/Wave
- Using and upgrading following Cards:
- Using / Upgrading Cards/Coins Coins Card
- Using / Upgrading Enemy Balance Card
- Using / Upgrading Critical Coin Card
- Using and upgrading following Ultimate Weapons:
- Golden Tower Upgrades and lab
- Black Hole Coin Bonus lab
- Spotlight Coin Bonus lab
- Death Wave Coin Bonus lab
- Using / Upgrading Generator Modules
- Using Sub-Module Effects that improve Coins/Kill, Coins/Wave, Golden Tower Bonus, Duration, Cooldown, Black Hole Size, Duration Cooldown, Death Wave Quantity, Cooldown, or SL Angle.
While all those options are nice and will help to get higher gains overall, each stage of the game and each build has its own way of optimizing the Coin farming.
New Players Turtle Coins Farming[edit | edit source]
When you just start playing The Tower you will most likely move towards Turtle Build with very limited Coin income and will need to prioritize upgrades very carefully for faster progression. Cards are limited, so as the Lab research and most game mechanics are still locked.
Goal here is to balance the upgrades for the build like Defense Absolute, Defense Percent and Thorns, while still working on Coins Per Wave and Coins Per Kill. Until you start getting 300-400 waves per run Coins per Wave will be a better investment, since you do not face a lot of enemies that drop coins in early waves. But try to keep them balanced.
Using Cards/Coins and Enemy Balance cards if you get them will help a lot with the Coin farming.
When additional Lab is unlocked, work on some Coins/Kill Lab research, it will go a long way, and early levels will not cost much coins and time. Getting some levels in Coins/Wave will help as well, but don't invest too much in it, since it will fall off in the later game.
If you will get Golden Tower as your Ultimate Weapon it will help to get some extra coins, but don't expect it to do wonders early on without upgrades and Cooldown Sync with other Ultimate Weapons like Black Hole and Death Wave.
